The Special Needs Camp for adults is held yearly at the Deer Valley Lodge (formerly Open Bible Campground) in Ventura. |
| In 1999, camp was offered to 54 overnight campers ranging in age
from 17 to 78 years old. |

To meet the needs of more fragile individuals who want to come to camp,
but are not able to sleep away from their residences, we hold a day camp. |
| Those campers come after breakfast, spend the day with us and return
home after dinner each night. |

Many of our older campers have no immediate family nearby. |
| The camp meets a need for those individuals, by providing them with
a place for a vacation
and gives them something to talk about and look forward to each year. |

Campers participate in all the activities persons who do not have disabilities
participate in....
swimming, hiking, crafts, games, and socialization...but at their own ability levels. 2005 Camp had 68 campers! |
| $135.00 for overnight camp. $90.00 for day camp. Arc of North Central Iowa Box 168 Mason City, Iowa 50402-0168 Monday, Morning check in Time - Registered Campers will be sent time to check in. Camp will close after lunch on Thursday. Campers must be picked up by 1:30 p.m. The registration fee is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to the Arc of North Central Iowa. |
