Different

We're all different. Some of us like cake and some of us like ice cream. Some of us like green and some of us like blue. Some of us are tall and some of us are small. We all look different, talk different, and even walk different.
When I asked my friends at Opportunity Village what is their favorite thing to do in the summer, here is one answer: "...I like to go swimming at the swimming pool. I just like getting in the water and go swimming at the swimming pool and the water just makes me cool off and get rid of the sweat when the times that I feel when I just get really sweaty and very hot..." Here's another answer: "On hot summer days my favorite activity is staying in the air conditioning and drinking pop. I drink Pepsi!" We're as different as the seasons. Some of us like hot weather, others of us like the cold. Some of us like weather in between, not too hot and not too cold. If we were all the same, how would the world be different? It would be so different that everything would be the same. That would be boring. We need variety and difference. Be happy that we are different and that the world is a better, happier place because of our difference. What a difference difference makes. |
