From The Author

Deanna Lingenfelter When I write books, something's got to inspire me before I even start. I write things in my head before I put them down on paper. Also, I get an inspiration from God to do my books. He tells me exactly what to do. "The Magic Toy Box"© was written at 3 a.m. on a Friday. God woke me up and told me to write this for children to explain to them about disabilities.
Later, I dictated it to a volunteer, Pat Schultz, who also worked with me to plan the illustrations, which she drew.

I have Cerebral Palsy, just like the baby doll in the story, and grew up knowing just how it influences the way other people look at people with physical or mental obstacles in their lives.

To those of you who will read this book to your children, I recommend that if a child asks a questions about someone with a disability, that you answer. Of course, it should be in the easiest possible terms. But if you give them honest answers, they won't always be scared or frightened, because they will understand that God always has an answer for everything.

Cost of each book is $5.00. Shipping and Handling fees are $2.00 on each book.
