Happy Stuff
| This month I asked my handicapped friends how they would finish the story
"Once upon a time..." Here's what they said: "Once upon a time there lived a cat named Pixie. Pixie was a simeese cat with blue eyes. She was very friendly. She lived in a beautiful big house with Barbra and Bill. She was a very smart cat, she loved watching TV. Her favorite show was Sebrena the teenage witch, she was in love with the black cat on that show." "Once upon a time there was an old man living out in the woods. The old man had special powers to communicate to the animals. The old man's favorite animal was a deer. The old man was sitting on the picnic bench when he was doing his special powers and to communicate with the animals. The deer was worried that he was getting chased by a lot of hunters. The deer was very scared about the hunters chasing after him. The deer told the old man that he was worried and scared about the hunters chasing after the deer. The deer was shaking out in the woods because the deer was scared and worried about the hunters. The old man protected the deer in the woods from the hunters. The deer was happy that he was protected away from the hunters. The old man and the deer lived happily ever after." As Archibald MacLeish, a famous poet, said in his "Ars Poetica", "A poem should not mean but be." There's so much sad stuff on the news every day it's important we tell each other about all the happy stuff in our hearts. And our hearts are big. |
